For this lyrical visualization, I wanted to convey the theme of introspection through a visual symbol and pattern. I chose halftones because the effect can represent balance. They are made of dots, which can be seen as binary, but together, they create a smooth gradient, a harmony between opposites, a gradual revelation of one's inner self through introspection.

The breaking down of the image into dots represents both physical and metaphorical fragmentation. By combing dots of different sizes and densities, a harmonious blend of light and dark tones are created to embrace the diversity of contrasting elements.
In order to achieve the halftone effect, I created a toolkit that generated a series of dots that interacted with the footage and played with levels and inverts to achieve the desired palette.
